LANTHIER

Perched atop a forested cliff, this secondary home stands out with its striking, atypical volumes and breathtaking panoramic views. Designed for a young professional couple, the house features four bedrooms and three bathrooms over three spacious levels. Though currently a retreat, it’s envisioned as their future primary residence. With its thoughtful layout and deep connection to nature, this project is a reflection of both the clients’ long-term vision and Écohabitations boréales’ commitment to sustainable, tailored design.

Fermette Ecohab

Inspired by the classic Farmhouse style, the Fermette is an intergenerational home allowing grandparents to have their own living space annexed to the family home. The central aspect is family life and to raise children in nature as much as possible and learn about natural processes. The project is aiming for LEED Platinum certification. A geothermal system to power the radiant floors is planned as well as a rainwater harvesting system for watering the garden and flower fields.

Tremblant

This residence is characterized by its simple, timeless double-volume architecture, perfectly interwoven with the mountainous terrain. Thanks to the elevated living area, the predominant fenestration and the continuity of the wood ceiling extending outwards, this home evokes the illusion of floating atop the mountains and offers a majestic view of the Mont-Tremblant mountain.

Sainte-sophie

This modern, minimalist home was designed to maximize the space available inside. This is a very ecological and fundamental aspect of the project: using a minimum of space to meet a maximum of needs. The location of the house on the plot and its orientation to the sun allow plenty of natural light to enter the house. There is no basement, and the house is built on a concrete slab, which lent itself well to the flat host site.

RANCH TERRE ET LUMIÈRE

The Terre et Lumière residence is located on a vast plot of land with pastures and stables. The architects imagined a revisited, contemporary farmhouse. Corten steel and grey cedar cladding are reminiscent of the farmhouses of yesteryear. The three-storey building features professional office space, a double garage, 2 bedrooms and a vast open-plan living area. Construction was completed in October 2020.

SAINTE-MARGUERITE-DU-LAC-MASSON

The main floor hosts the living spaces, strategically positioned to take full advantage of the panoramic views over the wooded lot. The ground floor is ready to accommodate a full kitchen, allowing for the creation of a complete living unit as the children grow older. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and durable features such as a steel roof and triple-glazed windows, this residence combines comfort, functionality, and long-term vision.

PRÉVOST HOUSE

Designed by its owner, a professional architect, Maison Prévost is a two-storey family home built on a slab foundation. Inspired by traditional Québec farmhouses, it blends seamlessly into its semi-rural surroundings. The layout includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open-concept living area, a gym/playroom, and a carport with integrated storage. Comfort is ensured through a radiant concrete slab and an EPA-certified wood stove. The interior and exterior design embrace soft tones and natural materials, featuring polished concrete floors, Eastern white cedar cladding, and a calming palette of whites and light woods throughout the home.

LAVAL

The house was built on wooded land located near the Mille-Iles River. The project was designed to highlight the natural beauty of the land. Spread over two levels, the residence has a living space on the upper floor with large windows where you have the impression of being among the trees. In addition, this privileged floor is enhanced with a generous raised terrace.

ECOHAB HOUSE

Perched atop Mont Chanteclerc in Sainte-Adèle, Maison Écohab is a family home tailored for an outdoor-oriented lifestyle. Built on a polished concrete slab with radiant heating, its main living areas are on the ground floor. An additional 300 sq. ft. in the roof trusses houses a gym and music room. A functional bike workshop replaces the typical garage. Comfort is ensured by a dual-zone heat pump, EPA-certified wood stove, triple-glazed windows, and a durable steel roof. Compact yet efficient, this home is designed for comfort, performance, and sustainable living in harmony with its alpine setting.

LONG LAKE

This prestigious residence is set on a large waterfront lot on Lac Long. The main living area is abundantly fenestrated, allowing you to benefit from solar gains and magnificent lake views. Every amenity for a good time has been provided: summer kitchen, spa, sauna, home theater, gym and guest suites.
